Spurs Force Game 7 with Dominant Win Over Thunder

The season is still alive in San Antonio.

Led by another superstar performance from Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs delivered a statement victory Thursday night, crushing the Oklahoma City Thunder 118-91 in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals to force a decisive Game 7.

Facing elimination, San Antonio came out with urgency from the opening tip and never let up. The Spurs controlled the tempo defensively, disrupted Oklahoma City’s offensive rhythm, and turned the game into a runaway by the third quarter.

Wembanyama once again proved why he’s becoming one of the league’s most unstoppable forces, finishing with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks while impacting nearly every possession on both ends of the floor.

The Thunder had no answers offensively. MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander struggled to find consistency against San Antonio’s defensive pressure, while OKC’s supporting cast failed to provide enough firepower to keep the game competitive.

San Antonio’s role players also stepped up in a major way, knocking down perimeter shots and feeding off the energy of the home crowd as the Spurs turned the second half into a rout.

Now the series heads back to Oklahoma City for a winner-take-all Game 7 with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line.

The winner will advance to face the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals.
